The cutting-edge technologies brought by Hong Kong enterprises, such as robotics, textile and apparel R&D, and nanomaterials etc., were particularly eye-catching, demonstrating their innovation capabilities and their momentum of integrating into the bay area.
“We have 13 promising technology enterprises here at the Hi-Tech Fair, showcasing the R&D breakthroughs and applications of big data, AI, life and health technology, new materials, and microelectronics in the Hong Kong Science Park Shenzhen Branch” said Molly Cheung, assistant director of strategic planning at Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. She hoped that partner companies can expand their global business and accelerate Hong Kong’s development as an international technological innovation hub through the hi-tech fair platform.

Incubated in Hong Kong Science Park, Vismed Training Limited utilizes technologies such as virtual reality, 3D printing and artificial intelligence to provide doctors with immersive mock training in surgery and diagnosis. The company’s co-founder Wu Aiyu said: “This is our first time joining the hi-tech fair, where we displayed our team’s innovative achievements.”
i2Cool Limited (i2Cool) is a new energy-saving materials company focused on the development of electricity-free cooling technology. Co-founded by professors from the Hong Kong City University’s school of energy and environment and young scientists, i2Cool’s products like its electricity-free cooling paint enables highly efficient solar reflection and mid-infrared radiation through self-developed nanomaterials, and achieves a cooling effect of up to 42°C, and energy savings of up to 40%
“Currently, electricity-free cooling products have been applied to fields such as construction, metallurgy, telecommunications, new energy, logistics, food storage and photovoltaics etc.” said Jinming Yu, Vice President of Global Strategies of i2Cool. He also stated that the company is building an electricity-free cooling ecosystem to accelerate the commercialization of diversified products such as cooling ceramics, temperature-controlled textiles, and automotive paints, and the products have sold to over 20 countries and regions including Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
In this year’s Hi-Tech Fair, from the “Hong Kong Pavilion” to the “Hong Kong Macau Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base” and “HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Academy”, many Hong Kong enterprises showcased their achievements in innovation in the various incubation centers within Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
In the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (Guangdong), Zyetric Technologies (Foshan) limited, led by young entrepreneur Patrick Lam, participated in the “Guangdong Technology Release No.30” project pitching event as a recommended project, and interacted with investment and financial firms.
Zyetric’s co-founder and chief operating officer Leslie Chu introduced Zhowcase, the world’s first generative AI real-time facial translation SaaS platform developed by Zyetric Technologies. This platform can accurately translate the content spoken by the speaker in the video to 32 languages, and match the speaker’s voice, tone, and facial expressions in the original video.
Zyetric has 18 China and US patents. Zhowcase can be applied into real-time translation scenarios like global product launches, university lectures, international conferences, and movie translations” Leslie Chu said that Zhowcase is favoured by both domestic and overseas markets, and customers have already come to us for discussion, and we are in the process of communicating the details of the cooperation.
Liao Yi, Manager of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Center, said that as of today, the incubation center has incubated over 5700 projects and attracted and employed over 8000 Hong Kong and Macau skilled youths, and the annual output value of the incubated projects has exceeded RMB 7 billion.
