On December 17th, the “Strait Cup” Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Projects Fuzhou Tour was held at the Strait Talent Hub. Doctorates from Hong Kong, UAE, Italy, Singapore and other countries and regions, and representatives of famous venture capital institutions such as the Science and Technology Training Center of CAS, Shanghai Hongkou Emerging Technology Development Center, Strait Huifu Industrial Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd, Fuzhou Zhu Zi Technology Entrepreneurship Service Center Limited were invited to the event. Mr. You Chengzhi, Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Straits Talent Market, and Mr. Wang Wen, Deputy General Manager, extended a warm welcome to them.
The Strait Talent Hub gives full play to its key role as a bridge and link for the exchange and cooperation of local and overseas talents in Fujian Province, gathering the strengths of many parties to build an important platform for connecting overseas innovation and entrepreneurship projects with local resources in Fujian. This event is organized with an aim to attract and drive overseas talent projects to expand and develop in Fujian.
The guests visited the Straits Talent Hub to get a preliminary impression of the strong innovation and entrepreneurship atmosphere here. They learned in detail about the functions and services of the Straits Talent Hub and showed appreciation towards its great role in talent exchange and project incubation.
In this event, overseas talent projects with intentions to expand their business in Fujian were particularly invited for roadshows and exchange with venture capital organizations. The project roadshow session featured an immersive experience for participants on cutting-edge technologies in the field of AI. The project “Zhowcase – Real-time Facial Translation Saas Platform”, presented by Dr Patrick Lam, Chairman and CEO of Zyetric Technologies Limited, is committed to breaking down language barriers with its innovative facial translation technology. Mr. Roland Leung, Executive Director of Datality Lab Limited, presented the project “MOODIE.AI - Artificial Intelligence Communication and Speech Training System”, which helps users to improve their communication and presentation skills with the help of artificial intelligence-assisted computer vision system. Dr. Jingcheng Jiang from the Italian Institute of Technology presented the project “Task-Oriented Embodied Intelligent Robot”, which demonstrated the intelligence and flexibility of robots in performing tasks.
After the project roadshow, the participants exchanged views on topics such as project cooperation, investment intention and talent attraction and employment. Many expressed that the event not only gave them an in-depth understanding of Fujian's innovation environment, but also provided them with the opportunity to connect with various high-quality projects, laying the foundation for future cooperation.
The relevant person in charge of the Strait Talent Hub expressed their desire to have more opportunities in the future for more high-quality projects to take root and flourish in the province, which can further propel Fujian Province's economy in realizing high-quality development.
